Vanguards
What you are playing against
He swaps between Adjudication, an automatic rifle, and Deliverance, a shotgun. Culling Turret roots him in place, blocks damage from the front and deals huge damage. Vantage Connection is his zipline, Scourge Grenade smokes your vision and pushes him back, and Warrior's Gaze keeps you visible after you break line of sight. Final Judgement, his ult, adds two Gatling guns and missiles.
Picks that work
Counterwatch's top five against him are all supports: Invisible Woman (+12.3), Rocket (+10.3), Cloak & Dagger (+8.7), Luna Snow (+8.5) and Jubilee (+8.4). His damage is steady, not burst, so heals out-trade it.
Our picker lists Magneto, Doctor Strange and Peni Parker in front, and Hela, Moon Knight, Winter Soldier and Black Widow as duelists who out-range or out-burst him.
Habits that beat him
Culling Turret only blocks damage from the front, and it roots him. Flank it. Don't trade with the turret head-on.
Warrior's Gaze means you stay visible after breaking line of sight. Don't peek the same corner twice.
If you're playing a big tank into him (Peni, Devil Dinosaur, The Thing), you are his favorite target. Play shorter fights and let supports carry the trade.
