How to counter Devil Dinosaur

Counter picks for Devil Dinosaur

From our counter data, strongest first. Bars show the weight: strong, good, soft. How weights work

What you are playing against

Primal Bite and Impact Beam apply Bleed, which deals percentage damage over time. Savage Predation pounces on a target and, if they are already bleeding, clamps down and hurls them. Frenzied Feast turns damage into bonus health. Buddy Barrier is a spherical shield that slows enemies inside it. Devil-Beast Rampage, his ult, stomps and launches.

Prehistoric Plating is the part to remember: reduced headshot damage, immunity to launch-up, knock-back and other displacement, and enemies gain less ult charge damaging him. Season 10.5 (Oct 6, 2026) trimmed his health from 850 to 825.

Picks that work

Every one of his top five counters on Counterwatch wins the 1v1: Squirrel Girl, Punisher, Phoenix, Moon Knight and Wolverine. Area and percentage damage go around his headshot reduction.

He beats Angela (+21.6), Captain America (+17.7), Mister Fantastic, Daredevil and Venom. Brawling him with those is the matchup he wants.

Habits that beat him

Don't plan around displacing him. Knockbacks and launches do nothing to him.

Leave the Buddy Barrier. Standing inside it slows you while he bites.

Clean Bleed off before he pounces again. Savage Predation does more to a bleeding target.
