How to counter dive comps

Three heroes keep showing up at the top of dive heroes' counter lists: Mister Fantastic, The Thing and Peni Parker. Divers win by catching someone alone, and those three make the space near your team expensive to enter.
What the matchup data says
Counterwatch tags Black Panther, Magik, Spider-Man, Psylocke, Black Cat, Gorr and Human Torch as heroes that lean toward dive. Here are the five heroes that do best against each of the first six:

The Thing appears against four of the six. Peni Parker appears against four. Mister Fantastic appears against five. If you are only going to learn one anti-dive tank this season, Peni has the bonus of being the highest win-rate hero in the game.
Habits that matter more than the pick
Most dive heroes have one tool that makes the engage work: Black Panther needs a Spirit Rend reset, Magik needs the exit from a Stepping Disc, and Spider-Man needs a Spider-Tracer on you before Get Over Here!. Each counter guide names that tool. Bait it out or dodge it and the diver is stuck in the middle of your team with nothing to escape on.
Supports are the usual target. Rocket Raccoon, Invisible Woman, Mantis and Jeff the Land Shark are among the easiest matchups for Black Panther, Black Cat and Magik. Playing them near a tank is worth more than any counter swap.
