How to counter flyers
Last updated
Spider-Man is the hardest counter to Iron Man (+15.8) and Ultron (+14.9), and Black Widow is in the top two against Storm, Ultron and Iron Man. Flyers this season are strong (Storm and Ultron are S tier), so you will need one of the two.
Counters for each flyer
| Against | Best counters (rating) |
|---|---|
| Storm | Black Widow (+10.6), Adam Warlock (+7.2), Spider-Man (+6.4) |
| Ultron | Spider-Man (+14.9), Black Widow (+11.9), Psylocke (+11.4) |
| Iron Man | Spider-Man (+15.8), Black Widow (+11.4), Punisher (+7.8) |
| Human Torch | Spider-Man (+11.7), Angela (+8.1), Deadpool (Vanguard) (+7.2) |
Tools that reach the sky
Spider-Man's Get Over Here! pulls a target to him, or pulls him to a tagged one, and height doesn't matter. Black Widow and other long-range duelists punish flyers who hover. Hulk's charged Incredible Leap knocks a flying enemy to the ground.
Melee heroes are the wrong answer. Wolverine is Storm's easiest matchup and Ultron's fifth easiest, and Squirrel Girl struggles against Storm, Iron Man and Ultron.
